Gloucestershire Tech Week Invites UK Tech and Cyber Community to Cheltenham

Gloucestershire Tech Week runs from Monday 12 to Friday 16 October 2026, bringing founders, investors, universities and government together across Cheltenham, Gloucester, Stroud, the Cotswolds, Forest of Dean and Tewkesbury to work through seven national challenges drawn from the UK's National Security Strategy and Strategic Defence Review.

Gloucestershire Tech Week is returning for 2026, convening innovators, businesses, investors, universities and government across the county to turn national technology and security challenges into shared opportunities. The week is powered by CyNam, the Cheltenham and Gloucestershire cyber cluster, and is themed around seven national challenges drawn from the UK's National Security Strategy and Strategic Defence Review, spanning resilience to disruption, keeping critical technology in UK hands, building world class technology, innovating faster, growing skills and talent, making security everyone's business, and preparing for new kinds of conflict.

Each day of the week takes a different theme:

• Monday: Heritage, at the Jet Age Museum

• Tuesday: Resilience and Sovereignty, at Hub8 MX, Cheltenham

• Wednesday: Curiosity, at Park Campus, University of Gloucestershire

• Thursday: (Artificial) Intelligence, at Patch, The Forum, Gloucester

• Friday: Opportunity, in Gloucester

The Tuesday theme, Resilience and Sovereignty, will be of particular interest to the cyber ecosystem, given CyNam's role in powering the week. Organisers describe the week as the start of a longer effort, with twelve follow-on actions set out for people to pursue after it ends, from mentoring to investing in new ventures.

There are four ways to take part: attending across the week or on a single themed day, submitting a talk for consideration as a keynote, workshop, panel or lightning session, sponsoring at headline, day or community level, or hosting a fringe event to be listed in the official programme.

Anyone in the UK tech and cyber community wanting to take part should get their tickets or submit an application before the week begins on 12 October 2026.
