The Future of IoT and Autonomous Technologies: The future of cybersecurity

From smart cities to industrial automation, SASIG explores the future of IoT and Autonomous Technology in collaboration with the University of Surrey and the Surrey Cyber Security Cluster - join those navigating what's next
SASIG is delighted to be organising another collaboration event with University of Surrey’s Centre for Cyber Security (part of their ‘Future of Cyber’ series) and the Surrey Cyber Security Cluster (part of their ‘Red Team’ events), in which we will explore the transformative power of autonomy. SASIG will delve into the broader landscape of autonomous technologies and the Internet of Things (IoT). As industries across the globe embrace new levels of automation, IoT is playing a pivotal role in driving efficiency, connectivity, and innovation.
This session will cover the diverse applications of autonomy and IoT, from smart cities to industrial automation, highlighting how interconnected devices and systems are revolutionising the way we live and work. We will discuss the impact of autonomous technologies in sectors such as healthcare, manufacturing, logistics, and transport, and the exciting possibilities for creating smarter, more sustainable environments.
Expert speakers will share insights into the challenges of implementing these technologies, including the critical importance of cybersecurity in the age of autonomy as well as regulatory hurdles. We’ll also look at the ethical considerations and societal implications of increased automation, and how businesses can adapt to this rapidly changing landscape. Join this event for an engaging discussion on how the convergence of autonomy and IoT autonomy, IoT, and cybersecurity is shaping the future, and why embracing these innovations is essential for staying competitive in an increasingly automated world.
This event is open to SASIG members and non-members alike – all front-line cybersecurity professionals as well as academics are welcome.
