Tributech and Booz Allen Hamilton are hosting a one-hour online session on how Zero Trust and data-centric security can support IT/OT convergence in critical infrastructure. The session covers the limits of data diodes in converged environments, emerging AI-powered threats and a case study from the oil and gas sector. Registrants who cannot attend live will receive the recording.

As critical infrastructure operators bring OT and IT together at pace, Tributech and Booz Allen Hamilton are hosting a joint online session on how Zero Trust and data-centric security can keep convergence moving without compromising control.

Central analytics, AI and autonomous operations increasingly depend on OT data flowing out of industrial networks and verified commands flowing back in, while off-network IoT extends data flows beyond the plant perimeter altogether. Data diodes have long secured that boundary, but in converged environments they can become a bottleneck. The session examines how organisations can accelerate convergence while maintaining security.

The agenda begins with OT/IT convergence use cases and the security challenges they raise, and how AI-powered attackers are targeting converged environments. It then moves to security architecture models for convergence, the strengths, limits and operational reality of data diodes, and the role of Zero Trust architectures and technologies. It also covers why autonomous systems and large language models need data-centric security. The session closes with a case study on how an oil and gas operator secured process control network (PCN) writeback.

Speakers are Patrick Lamplmair, CTO and Co-Founder of Tributech, and Hatteras Hoops, OT Security Lead for Europe at Booz Allen Hamilton. Patrick Lamplmair advises critical infrastructure operators on Zero Trust for OT/IT convergence, contributes to European cybersecurity standardisation through CEN/CENELEC JTC 13, and holds patents for methods of securing the integrity of industrial data streams and commands. Hatteras Hoops leads Booz Allen's OT security capability across Europe, bringing more than 25 years of experience advising critical infrastructure operators from assessment through to implementation, and is a senior member of ISA.

The session is aimed at security architects, OT and ICS engineers, CISOs, plant and operations leaders, and executives in energy, utilities, oil and gas, chemicals, pharmaceuticals and manufacturing. It balances technical depth for engineers with business context for decision makers. Those unable to attend live can still register to receive the recording afterwards.
