Wales SASIG: Insiders, Insights and Protecting our Data

SASIG recognise the importance of remaining informed on current threats, protecting people, data and building resilience - join to understand how to recognise your vulnerabilities
SASIG’s organisations are all underpinned and dependent on technology and information, which means managing the associated risks effectively could be the difference between surviving an incident or being buried by it. Yet as we consider our digital resilience, we often overlook the critical role of people. Automation may be front of mind for many businesses, but people remain at the heart of automation (who installs and sets the automation rules?), and our people remain primary targets for attackers. Focussing on our people and cutting through the bureaucratic silos we’ve created remains one of the most effective ways to defend ourselves.
SASIG is delighted to return to Newport for our Wales SASIG event. Once again, we’ll be hosted by the Intellectual Property Office (IPO), an organisation that fully understands the sensitivity of the data it manages. This event will explore the ways we can manage and protect our people and data, and develop our understanding of and ways to reduce the impact of insider threats. Attackers don’t distinguish between internal boundaries or silos, they simply seek out vulnerabilities wherever they exist; and too often, those vulnerabilities are the ones we create ourselves.
This event is open to front-line, end-user cybersecurity professionals, as well as SASIG members.
