Empowering You Opens Applications for Women's Cyber Security Leadership Programme

Empowering You is calling on women in cyber security to apply for its Northern Ireland leadership programme.
Empowering Women to Lead Cyber Security is a cross-sector leadership programme for women in cyber security and resilience, delivered by Empowering You in association with techUK, NI Cyber, the Northern Ireland Civil Service and the Northern Ireland Cyber Security Centre. Running from September to November 2026, the programme is designed to help aspirational and early to mid-career professionals, team leaders and managers grow into more confident, capable leaders, while building a collaborative community of women leaders across the UK cyber security sector.
The programme is structured around four workshop modules, delivered face to face and covering self-awareness, the neuroscience behind values and behaviours, coaching skills and leadership styles, and how to energise career impact. Each module includes a senior guest speaker sharing their own leadership journey.
Two 2-day in-person workshops in a cohort of 15 to 20 participants
Guest industry speakers sharing personal leadership stories
One-to-one coaching sessions with a professional leadership coach
A team collaboration challenge
A graduation event with team presentations and certificate awards
The programme is free to attend, though participants cover their own travel costs, and places are limited to a maximum of 20, selected by a cross-industry panel following application. Participants are expected to attend both two-day workshops in central Belfast in full, plus the graduation event, as there is no option for partial or virtual attendance.
The first two-day workshop runs 16 and 17 September 2026, the second 20 and 21 October 2026, with the graduation event on 24 November 2026.
Applications close on 14 August 2026. Women working in cyber security and resilience across Northern Ireland are encouraged to apply without delay.
