NCSC Seeks Industry Input on Passkey Adoption and Authentication Trends

The National Cyber Security Centre is gathering views on how passkeys are being adopted across sectors. The exercise covers both enterprise authentication of staff and consumer-facing authentication on websites and apps, and responses are submitted through a brief online form.
The National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) is gathering industry views on the current landscape for passkeys, inviting organisations across a range of sectors to contribute to a temperature check on passkeys and authentication trends.
The exercise focuses on two areas. Enterprise authentication covers how staff, including contractors, authenticate to an organisation's systems. Business-to-consumer (B2C) authentication covers how customers and users sign in to customer-facing websites and apps. The NCSC is seeking input from industry partners to understand how passkeys are being used in both settings.
Responses are submitted through an online form. The form does not automatically collect respondents' names or email addresses unless they choose to provide them.
Organisations using or considering passkeys for staff or customer authentication are encouraged to share their perspective by completing the NCSC form.
