The UKCSC is excited to announce hat applications are now open for people interested in joining our Youth Advisory Panel for the 2026-27 term

If you are aged between 16 and 25 years on 01st April 2026, based in the UK, and passionate about cyber security, then they’re looking for you!

What is the UK Cyber Security Council’s Youth Advisory Panel?

The Council’s Youth Advisory Panel is a group of young people with a passion for cyber security, helping to shape the future of the UK’s cyber sector. They work closely with us to make sure the voices, ideas and experiences of young people influence the work we do.

Members share their views on everything from careers and skills to inclusion and education, helping us better understand the challenges and opportunities facing young people in the industry today.

What does the role entail?

This is a voluntary role, and successful applicants will serve on the Youth Advisory Panel from April 2026 to March 2027 with the opportunity to be re-appointed at the end of their term.

The role will include meetings and project work, and we expect it to be approximately 4-6 hours of time per month. The Council will also cover the cost of a Basic DBS check for all Panel members.

What is the application process?

To apply, please fill this application form by 23:59 on Sunday 25th January 2026.

They aim to shortlist candidates by 06th February and will invite shortlisted candidates for an interview via video call on the week commencing 16th February. If you are unsuccessful at any stage, we will inform you by the end of the recruitment cycle.
